Heather Shapero has been the office manager for Shapero Dermatology since its inception in 1973. A graduate of the University of Toronto and the Ontario College of Education, she taught French for the Windsor Board of Education before starting her family of four children.

Heather has always enjoyed being a community volunteer and was awarded North York’s volunteer of the year award in 1996.  She is a supporter of the non-profit organization The Hammer Band which teaches 1000 students in 40 schools to play the violin or the cello at no cost to their parents.  The first school to join this program was Firgrove Public School right here in the Jane and Finch neighbourhood. Heather is a keen genealogy researcher having uncovered family stories dating back to the mid-nineteenth century.

Last but not least Heather is the proud wife of Dr. Harvey Shapero and the proud mom of Dr. Jonathan Shapero.
